On Jippity, kids as young as seven write real code to create games, websites, art, and tools.
How is this possible?
On Jippity, kids team up.
Any kid who can type can use Jippity.
It's the perfect follow-up to Scratch, but brand-new coders are right at home too, as are experienced coders ready to level up. All are welcome.
Watch Kristen introduce Jippity and walk through the basics of creating a project.
A Jippity account costs $30 per month.
That gives you unlimited access to the editor, the AI assistant, and project hosting. You can use any asset in our library and fork any Jippity project.
An hour-long one-on-one coding session with an expert mentor costs $100.
We match every kid with a mentor according to their interests. Mentors teach programming principles, project management, and design.
Kids who want to level up their skills in a structured program can sign up for tutoring through Recess.
We offer a free demo session to anyone curious about tutoring on Jippity.
We teach courses through on coding, game design, science, and music using Jippity.
Courses average $25 per class meeting. If you're curious about courses, feel free to reach out to us.
We put game development at the center of the Jippity learning experience.
Why?
Games are fun. We learned to code so that we could make games.
But more than that, game development covers a huge range of technical and non-technical skills, with coding at its core.
And of course, programming, the glue that holds it all together.
We support game development not just with our in-browser code environment and custom-tuned AI, but also with assets, templates, and mentorship. Kids work hard and take great pride in their projects.

He began his career as an educator at age 12 as an understudy to his grandmother, a public school teacher who started a tutoring business in her retirement. Jacob coached kids of all ages in math, science, test prep, and essay writing until he became a classroom teacher of math, physics, and computer science in Queens, NY. When he returned to Los Angeles he founded Jippity in order to bring kids the tools and experiences he wished he had had as a video-game-loving kid.
